A Step-by-Step Guide

What is Deliverance? 

The purpose of deliverance is to set people free from demonic bondage and oppressive strongholds which hinder or prevent them from living their life according to God's intended plan and purpose.
Deliverance is an ongoing, onion layer-­like process for getting more & more freedom and is usually carried out with the assistance of at least one deliverance minister, however, a degree of freedom can be attained through the process of self-deliverance.
Self-deliverance can be convenient and practical when you don't have immediate access to an assisted deliverance session and is also helpful for periodic upkeep.
An easy visual is to picture the process of emptying dirty or mirky water out of a vessel and refilling that same vessel with clean, refreshing water. In other words, emptying of one's vessel of presence of unholy powers, operations and filling the vessel up with God's dwelling presence.
Deliverance is a serious process and should always be carried out within the bounds of God's word & under the leading of the Holy, Spirit.
If you've who's already received Christ into your life as Lord and Savior, you're a good candidate for deliverance.

The Ideal Setting?

The ideal setting is one that facilitates the presence and operation of Holy Spirit but hinders demonic operation.

Ideally, you should be in a relaxed, comfortable setting where you're able to focus without distractions.

Beware of and if possible, remove any demonic objects or sounds around you.

Don't be afraid, know that the Lord Jesus is with you and there's no power stronger than God your heavenly Father. 

How To Start?

I. lntroductory Prayer
Heavenly Father, I worship You & praise  You for who You are.  Thank You for being with me as I endeavor to be set free.
I cover myself with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and I ask the Holy Spirit to help me in this time of deliverance and prayer.

Put on God's Armor
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I put on the whole armor of God.
• I put on the girdle of truth,
• the breastplate of righteousness,
• the sandals of God’s peace,
• the helmet of salvation,
• I lift up the shield of faith against all the fiery darts of the enemy,
• I take in my hand the sword of the spirit, the Word of God,
• I use God's word against all the forces of evil in my life;
• I put on the whole armor & pray in complete dependence upon You blessed Holy Spirit.

Repentance:

II.Prayer of Repentance

Lord Jesus, I repent for all the sins that I've committed knowingly or unknowingly against your word, please forgive me.

I repent for the sins that I've committed and those of my ancestors.  

I receive the fullness of Your forgiveness, and I also choose to forgive every offense and accusation that I've held against everyone who's hurt me, lied to me, or disappointed me.

I also choose to forgive myself and I forgive any disappointment or hurt that I've held against You Father God. 

Renounce Curses: 

III. Renounce The Curses

I renounce the devil & all his works.  I command all his demons & their works out out of my life right now.

I renounce the spirit of lies, rage, bitterness, pride, unforgiveness, rebellion, revenge, envy, jealousy, strife, lust, witchcraft, idolatry & command you to get out of my life.

I cut myself off from all generational curses and I renounce all unholy oaths, vows, pledges, ceremonies and I break those curses off my life.

I renounce and break all ungodly soul ties between me and any person, spirit, object, or place and I declare that I am free to serve You Lord Jesus. 

In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit I receive the fullness of God's presence in every area of my life.  

Taking Authority:

IV. Command Demons To Leave

I declare the authority of Jesus Christ in every area of my life.

I bind & disarm every demon power that has in any way attached itself to any part of my life. 

In the Name of Jesus, I forbid your presence or operation in any area of my life. 

I command you to leave me right now without incident.

You must leave now with all your works and never return.

In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit I receive the fullness of God's presence in every area of my life.

Lord Jesus, I declare that I wholly Yours.  I choose to serve You now & always in every area of my life.

Closing Prayer:

V. Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I receive the fullness of Your love and Your presence in every area of my life. I completely submit myself to You and Your plan and purpose for my life.
Holy Spirit, I recognize that You are the sent minister in my life and I submit to Your leading in every way.

I soak all the areas of my life, including all the foundations, gates,. doorposts, coverings, boundaries, and support structures, in the blood of Jesus and I surrender them to You, in the mighty Name of Jesus.

I come into agreement with the operating the blessing of God Almighty over my life now and forever, in the Name of Jesus.

A Helpful Reminder:

The Name of Jesus Christ has absolute authority against all demons. 

They have no choice but to obey and leave when they’re commanded in the Name of Jesus. 

There’s no pressure to rush through the deliverance process, remember that it’s an ongoing process. 

You can repeat any of the steps as many times as needed.
